(S)heraldry, aka heraldry for her

Using patchwork upcycled fiber (i.e., bedsheets, shirts, leather scraps), as well as more traditional media such as silk screen, punch needle, and oil paint, I am exploring heraldry as a form of expression. Drawing from Ursula K. Le Guin’s influential essay, I reimagine traditional mythologies to center the role of vessels and caregivers, rather than spears and warriors.
